How to Connect Facebook Messenger to String

Before You Begin: Requirements

Admin access to a Facebook Business Page
Verified Meta Business Manager account
Page published (not in draft mode)

Step-by-Step Connection Process

1. Initiate the Integration

  1. Log in to your String Dashboard

  2. Navigate to:
    ​Management> Settings > Integrations
    Click "Connect Facebook"

2. Meta Authentication

  • Log in with your Facebook credentials (must have Page admin rights)

  • Select the specific Facebook Page you want to connect

  • Choose the linked Business Manager account

  • Grant these permissions pages_messaging / pages_read_engagement / pages_manage_metadata / etc.....


Accessing & Managing Messenger Conversations

Inbox Management

  • Go to: Inbox > Omnichannel Social DM

  1. View all conversations in a unified inbox with:

    • Customer profiles (past interactions)

    • Message history

    • Automated tags (e.g., "New Lead", "Support")

You can receive and send massages/ reply on comments/ add leads from one place.


Social media Replies and comments

  • Go to: Inbox > Omnichannel > Social posts > Facebook

You can reply on comments/ add leads to CRM from any interactions on your posts.
