How to Connect Facebook for Leads & Ad Insights

The Facebook Leads & Ads integration enables businesses to capture leads from Facebook/Instagram ads and analyze campaign performance directly in String. This connection provides real-time data synchronization and powerful automation tools.

Connect Facebook with String to:

Prerequisites

Before connecting, ensure you have:

  • Meta Business Manager account

  • Admin access to:

    • Facebook Page

    • Ad Account

    • Lead Forms

  • Business verification (for advanced features)

  • Valid payment method in Meta Ads Manager

Step-by-Step Connection Guide

1. Initiate Facebook Connection

  1. Go to String Dashboard > Settings > Integrations

  2. Locate Facebook under "Integrations"

  3. Click "Connect Facebook"

Step 2. Complete Meta Login Flow

  1. Log in using your Meta Business Manager credentials

  2. Select the specific Facebook Page you want to connect

  3. Choose the linked Business Manager account

  4. Grant these required permissions:

Step 3. Select Assets

  1. Choose the Facebook Page for lead capture

  2. Select the Ad Account for performance data

  3. Confirm Lead Access permissions


Next Steps After Connection

Once the any lead interact with your page in messages or past comments or ad forms you can add them to your CRM

For example: after connecting you will find business listed In Omnichannel (Social DM + Social Posts)


if leads start sending messages will appear in Social DM


You can convert any conversations into lead and add it to the CRM Directly
- inside the conversation click on "Create new Lead"


- Fill all date you have about the lead to help in Customer management and automation


After you add the lead data you can find it in the Leads page

Accessing Meta Leads Data

  1. Navigate to Leads Page to find all listed leads

Monitoring Ad Performance

  1. Go to Reports > Campaigns report > Facebook business reports

  • Select the ad account

  • Define the report data range (From - To)

  • Track key metrics:

    • Cost Per Lead (CPL)

    • Click-Through Rate (CTR)

    • Conversion Rate
