How to setup and send WhatsApp Campaigns?

Communicate with leads and customers via WhatsApp

With String’s Marketing Hub, you can create and launch WhatsApp campaigns effortlessly. Follow these steps to get started:


Step 1: Integrate WhatsApp with String

  1. Log in to String.

  2. Navigate to Settings under the Management Menu.

  3. Click on Integrations and select WhatsApp.

  4. Connect your WhatsApp Business API account.

  5. Verify the integration and ensure it's active.


Step 2: Access the WhatsApp Campaigns Section

  1. Go to the Marketing Hub from the main menu.

  2. Click on WhatsApp Campaigns to open the campaign dashboard.


Step 3: Create a New Campaign

  1. Click on the “Create WhatsApp Campaign” button.

  2. Add campaign details:

    • Campaign Name (for internal reference).

    • WhatsApp Business Number (the sender's number).

    • Click Next.


Step 4: Add Recipient Details

You have three options to add recipients:

  • Upload an external CSV file with contacts.

  • Add manually by entering numbers individually.

  • Select from an existing contact list in String.

After adding recipients, click Next.


Step 5: Configure Message Details

  • Choose a pre-approved WhatsApp template or create a new one.

  • Personalize the message using dynamic fields (e.g., customer name, order details).

  • Select Language: English or Arabic.

  • Schedule:

    • Send immediately.

    • Choose a future date/time.

    • Send in batches to control delivery speed.

  • Click Next.


Step 6: Preview and Send

  1. Click “Preview” to check the message format.

  2. Send a test message to your number.

  3. Click “Send” or “Schedule” to launch your campaign.


Step 7: Track Performance

  • Go to the Insights Hub to analyze:

    • Delivery rates – How many messages were successfully sent?

    • Read rates – How many messages were opened?

    • Response rates – How many users replied?

    • Click-through rates (if applicable) – How many users clicked on included links?
